ACCEPTING THE REALITY OF CHANGE GIVES RISE TO EQUANIMITY
By Allan Lokos
Meditation is the process of concentration diving deep within. It is a reflection on the self into the depths of the being. Every living thing in the world meditates. It is a constant awareness of our own. Self-transcendence is the final stage of man’s development and transformation. It is a transpersonal effort involving complete purity.
Man is the material body with the divine spirit in him. Knowing himself or becoming “whole” is merging individual self with universal consciousness beyond space-time, leads to liberation. Carrying a casual component of man beyond death and re-introduction into another material body. Consciousness is directed to an object, it is intentional exhibiting a correlation between a real experience and its objective correlate having a certain meaning, reasoning and a component of the experience.
Meditation and focusing attention help in healing and curing of diseases. It is a glorious expression of normal powers of heart and mind. It is purity in love of to our own and in the heart with service and sacrifice. It is a mental process directed and polarized awakening the wholeness of powers of the man towards the spiritual goal the union with the supreme.
To meditate, one has to select a clean and calm place, preferably open or in a quiet room in the early hours of the morning. One has to sit in a comfortable posture, preferably in padmasana or erect on the chair without hand rests with spine erect.
By doing meditation we can increase our PFC, this is most important for brain functioning in the right direction. This will also create the love affection towards others, we will not harm anyone or not think about anyone to hurt them. This will increase the belief of ours on others.
