Most of us are dragged back by fears. Fear is a powerful factor. I was pulled back by fear many times at different stages.
When my business failed, I thought of starting the job again. Even though I had a degree and experience, I was frightened.
Thoughts like "No one will give me a job" gripped my mind. It was complicated to go and apply for a job again.
Many times such things happened to me. Such type of fears is psychological fear which remains for some time. In fact, these days, fear is increasing despite science, education, and globalization.
The real question is, how does fear generate? Fear generates due to unknown. No one has a fear of known. When we do not know something, we will have fear. And it becomes prominent if we don't know "How to learn anything".
If we make a commitment to learning lifelong, then this fear will remain away from us. Learn a framework for learning anything. Tim Ferriss, the author of "4 Hour Chef" explained such a framework in this book.
Apart from this, we have fears of death or losing something important. These types of fears can be conquered by understanding self. So, read the Know Yourself again.
When you have fear, you won't take action. In the absence of action, one can go into depression. And depression is the state where one is bombarded with demotivating thoughts.
Action kills fear. Action means doing the required things. When you do the required thing, fear disappears. Faster you take action, faster fear goes away.
What can you do to kill the fear?
1. First of all, define your fear on the paper. Find out its reason. 2. Define what the worst thing that can happen is? 3. And start improving from the worst case by taking action.
