THOSE WHO GIVE UP, NEVER GROW UP
Willpower is defined as the strong determination to do something that is considered difficult. it is required to get over difficulties and temptations.
A strong-willed person is able to carry out his decisions. He has full control over his thoughts and behavior.
We all know what is right, and we are eloquent in preaching it to others, but in the practical doing of right, we find ourselves weak and powerless. Morality depends greatly on the power of will. Not ignorance but the weakness is the cause of a great deal of the immorality that prevails in the world.
Whenever we wish to do a thing there are difficulties in the way of doing it, and temptations for not doing it. The higher and nobler the object we wish to achieve the greater is the greater are the difficulties, the stronger the temptations.
Let us the story of the man who has the strong willpower. And he decided in his childhood:
IPS Officer Navniet Sekera's story is a living example of 'How to become successful in life'. Having studied from a Hindi medium school in a village in Uttar Pradesh, he was denied an admission form in Hansraj College, Delhi University. But with his hard work and passion, he cracked IIT JEE exam and got into IIT Roorkee. He also cleared UPSC Civil Services Exam. IPS Officer Navniet Sekera has served the Indian Police Services for more than 20 years. He is famously called an Encounter Specialist with a record of 56 encounters. He serves as the IG in UP Police. This Dabangg officer is now authoring a book.
According to this story, he has strong determination and willpower.
Now the point came up in mind that "How to cultivate willpower?"
In fact, to be steadily cultivated, just as the power of understanding has to be. Very few people are born with great talents or with extraordinary strength of mind. However, both faculties can by steady exercise be developed to a remarkable degree.
The first thing for a child to learn is that he or she must at any cost go through what work is set for the day. Rigid adherence to a routine of work itself, and of the temptations of bad companions, is the basis on which boy's a future character and happiness will entirely depend.
Be slow to make up your mind, but once it is made up allow nothings to come between you and your resolution. He really triumphs in the battle of life who is endowed, not with dazzling to intelligence, but with dogged perseverance.
