To be mentally strong and conquer feeling anxious

Anxiety is on the rise, and uncertainty about the future just adds to the anxiety. According to recent surveys, approximately 35% of the population today suffers from anxiety problems. Generalized anxiety disorder, phobias, social anxiety, and panic disorders are included in this broad category.

It's easy for anxiety to spin out of control when millions of people are out of jobs, political upheaval, economic uncertainty, and dread all converge on people at the same time. Because many older men are "unprepared" for retirement and have too much free time on their hands, they are especially vulnerable. As we become increasingly disengaged and our world changes swiftly, young people are more susceptible than ever.

Anxiety, it turns out, isn't all terrible. It's an evolutionary trait meant to protect us from harm. It's a strong tool for personal development and motivation when used correctly. It can overwhelm our heads with dangerous thoughts if left unchecked, which can be devastating.

Be still


When anxiety begins to rise, we must take action to control the uncontrollable flow of unpleasant feelings. It's fine to be sad, have a bad day, or just feel horrible—the important thing is to acknowledge it. Allowing these sensations to dominate our thoughts and persisting is not a good idea. Sit quietly, breathe deeply, and allow our emotions to ebb and go. Make a phone call to a close friend or do something good. Take control of your negative emotions, and don't allow them to snowball into a depressing avalanche.


Write


Journal. Write. Make a habit of writing down your blessings and doing it daily. Writing has tremendously significant therapeutic advantages. Most importantly, it keeps us focused on pleasant activities and redirects our thoughts in a positive direction. Gratitude is a strong tool for keeping us focused on positive, success-oriented thinking.


Recalibrate


Remind yourself that anxiety is a friend, and don't allow it to turn into an enemy. Talk to yourself about your anxiety. Write a letter specifically aimed at gaining clarity. What are you trying to teach me, anxiety? I'm inspired to learn from your lessons. What am I supposed to do?

Exercise


One of my four tenets of serenity at Anatomy of Success is better mental and physical health. Since the age of 15, I've relied on exercise to keep me laser-focused. Since then, I've been training like a prizefighter after competing as a professional kickboxer. Exercise, in my opinion, is the most effective strategy for reducing stress, without a doubt. Find hobbies that need you to move and, if feasible, learn to push yourself to your mental and physical boundaries. You'll be grateful to me.


Laugh


The power of laughter is a recent study with far-reaching ramifications. Laughter, like a smile, is contagious, and its consequences are astounding. At least one friend should be able to make us laugh till we weep. You will rapidly reduce tension and anxiety if you learn to laugh more. Laughter is also a fantastic technique for teaching ourselves to be less serious. Try it, leaders!


Appreciate


Learn to value and cultivate your great strengths regularly. We may address our concerns and learn to control our thoughts by exercising courage. On our own journey, this entails being kind to ourselves and granting ourselves grace. We respect and welcome the irregular nature of our flawed route by allowing ourselves the freedom to move forward through stumbling.
